Parilakchit (Forward Looking-FL) is a non-governmental and not for profit organization registered in Kathmandu District Administration Office in 2002 November (2058/8/8) and also affiliated with Social Welfare Council (SWC) under the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare. The organization was established by a group of people who worked for United Mission to Nepal (UMN) for many years in the field of Scholarships Administration. The main aim of the Forward Looking is to transform the life of the person with disability orphan, single parent, Indigenous group, and low caste through formal education and life skill training. FL plans to achieve its’ vision through creating awareness, developing and transferring skills and self- reliance through education. Forward Looking is dedicated to transform the quality of lives of individuals and community through education and life skill training. FL values “the education for all” and the sustainable development with the priority to the person with disabilities, women and girl coming from poorest of the poor.
FL has been providing its services to the needful population through two sections: Scholarship and livelihood program. Further, FL has been involved in various disabilities support activities in partnership with local NGOs and schools/colleges. FL is also doing various capacity building activities and social awareness programs in order to empower and equip the local partners and share the information by other related organization.
